The Grayson County Water District has issued a Boil Water Advisory for the following customers. The BWA will affect the customers from 2039 Anneta Rd to 4551 Anneta Rd, all of Byrtle Grove Rd, all of McClure Cemetery Rd, all of Bear Creek Rd, all of Taylor Fork Rd, and from the intersection of McDonald rd to the end of McDonald Rd. The customers affected by this BWA have been notified by a phone call. Please see hour system map to see if you live in the affected area.
We recommend bringing all water used for drinking or cooking to a rolling boil for three minutes and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. People with severely compromised immune systems, infants, and some elderly may be at increased risk. These people should seek advice from their health care providers about drinking water.
A boil water advisory is issued when there is POSSIBLE contamination to the water. At this time there is no evidence that any contamination has gotten into the water supply. However, customers should continue to boil their drinking water until the advisory is lifted. The advisory would typically last no longer than 48hrs from the time it is issued. If you have questions during one of the events, please feel free to contact the Grayson Co. Water District at (270) 259-2917.
